A high quality provider of professional care to individuals with learning disabilities, epilepsy and associated specialist needs. It works in close partnership with service users and their families to provide services in the community. The purpose of your role will be to Supervise and co-ordinate the efforts of your staff team so that each shift runs smoothly and efficiently.

Ensure staff work to policies and procedures
Utilise staff time to maximise their usefulness.
Ensure paperwork is completed within timescales and to a high standard.
Contribute to the ongoing assessment of staff training needs.
Support service users in planning and organising their holidays.
Plan and organise shifts.
Quality assurance
To provide high quality care and support to enable service users to live in the community.

You will have at least two years supervisory experience gained within a care setting, supporting people with learning disabilities. A working knowledge of best practice within the care industry. Minimum NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Care. Your average working week will be 40 hours. Typically you will be required to work either "Early Shifts" or "late" shifts on alternate weeks. There is ongoing personal developement plan for all employees + NVQ training after 6 months.

You will provide senior clinical input via direct work with the residents and through the provision of supervision, participate in the development of objectives for the home and ensure that those objectives are achieved.

We are looking for a minimum of 2 years experience working with people with complex and enduring mental health needs. You will also have a thorough knowledge of the CSCI Act 2000 and its requirements as well as proven risk assessment, risk management and care planning skills. Previous experience in a clinical lead/supervisory role would be essential.

Your role pupose

To manage all aspects of the home by planning and delivering a viable, sensitive and efficient care service to residents, which enhances their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities

To be accountable for the smooth operation of the home in accordance with the companies policies, the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and other legislation directly affecting the home and its residents.
Implementation and maintenance of quality standards.
To Act as NVQ Assessor/Verifier as required.
Training and induction of staff

Experience

Proven Home Management experience with NVQ level 4 Health & Social Care or RMA qualification or equivalent/first level registered nurse within a Nursing Home.
Experience of managing a budget and working to a Business Plan.
Full understanding of the national minimum standards for Care Homes for older people and their impact in care and management practice.
